Welcome to my personal blog site. Here I will keep you updated on my research areas of interest, specifically around Digital Identity Management and Blockchain, poetry, music and other stuff!

Eamon Walsh GMITI am a Head of Department of Enterprise & Technology at The School of Business in GMIT. I hold a B. Sc. (Hons) in Applied Physics & Electronics and a Masters in Business Administration, both from NUI Galway. I have worked in IT Management roles with multinational companies in many countries, finally settling back to Galway a number of years back. I am also a PhD candidate with the Dept of Business Information Systems at NUI Galway and my research area of interest is Digital Identity Management using Blockchain for use in the storage, verification and distribution of Digital Academic Credentials.

Finally, I am also an aspiring poet inspired by my life experiences and my wonderful uncle, Thomas F. Walsh, broadcaster, poet, golf-fanatic and compiler of the famous “Favourite poems we learned in school” series of poetry books. You can view some of my work on the Poetry page.
